Executive Chef Duane Lepine

I am very pleased to announce the appointment of our new Executive Chef, Mr Duane Lepine, to continue the tradition of fine cuisine at the Rideau Club.
Chef Lepine’s career began with a Summer job at the young age of thirteen, when he worked in a hotel in Switzerland.  His passion for fine cuisine only increased over the years: he has worked in award winning restaurants, world renowned golf courses, luxurious sailing ships, five star hotels and exclusive resorts.

He has been coached by eminent chefs, including David Garcelon, currently Director of Culinary at the Waldorf in New York and Judson  Simpson, Executive Chef at the House of Commons and Canada’s first Certified Master Chef.

He has developed his own style and likes to innovate with a progressive French culinary touch.  He takes pride in using the freshest products, local and international, to ensure the highest quality and taste experience. Recently, Chef Lepine was responsible for the Parliamentary Restaurant, catering to the needs of thousands of staff as well as creating exclusive private dinners for Parliamentarians and international guests.  He also was appointed Restaurant Chef for the opening of a major hotel where he achieved Four Diamond status within three months.

I am very pleased that Chef Lepine has joined the Rideau Club at this time.  He will be developing exciting menus for us, in the best traditions of the Club.  Chef Lepine welcomes any suggestions you may have (execchef@rideauclub.ca) and looks forward to meeting more members in the weeks ahead.

Please join me in welcoming Chef Lepine to the Rideau Club family.
